Transparency First

How Loomi Works

We believe you deserve to know what your clothes are made of. Here is how we make that happen.

Our Process

From Source to Score

01

We Aggregate Product Data

Loomi pulls product listings from trusted natural fiber brands via their official storefronts and partner APIs. We focus on brands that prioritize material transparency.

02

We Parse Fiber Composition

Our pipeline extracts fiber composition from product descriptions, material fields, and structured data. Every fiber is classified as natural, regenerated, or synthetic.

03

We Verify & Score

Each product receives a Natural Fiber Score based on its composition. Certifications like GOTS and OEKO-TEX are surfaced when available. Confidence levels indicate data quality.

The Details

What Fabric Facts Shows

Every product on Loomi includes a Fabric Facts panel — like a nutrition label, but for your clothes.

Fiber Composition

A complete breakdown of every fiber in the garment, listed by percentage. Each fiber is labeled as natural, regenerated, or synthetic so you can see exactly what the product is made of.

Natural Fiber Score

A score from 0 to 100 representing the total percentage of natural fibers. Scores of 70 or above are rated Excellent, 50–69 are Good, and below 50 are Low. The score gives you a quick way to compare products at a glance.

Fiber Bar

A stacked horizontal bar chart that visualizes the fiber breakdown. Green segments represent natural fibers, amber represents regenerated fibers, and red represents synthetic fibers.

Certifications

When a product carries certifications like GOTS Certified or OEKO-TEX Standard 100, they are displayed as badges. These third-party certifications add an extra layer of trust.

Confidence Level

Each product has a confidence indicator (high, medium, or low) that reflects how reliably we could extract its fiber data. High confidence means the data came from structured sources; lower confidence means it was inferred from descriptions.

Scoring

Natural Fiber Score

The Natural Fiber Score is the total percentage of natural fibers in a product. It is a simple, honest number — no proprietary algorithm, no hidden weights.

70–100

Excellent

Predominantly natural fibers. These products are made mostly from materials like cotton, linen, wool, silk, and hemp.

50–69

Good

A balanced mix with a majority of natural or regenerated fibers. Check the Fabric Facts for details on the blend.

0–49

Low

Higher proportion of synthetic fibers. The Fabric Facts panel shows exactly which synthetics are present and in what amounts.
